There will be a road closure the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Hutton Road, Hutton Cranswick from its junction with Main Street northbound for approximately 50 metres commencing 9th March 2026 until 2nd April 2026 for the purpose of low voltage cable overlay to make upgrades to the network work.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 25 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: Main Street, A164 Beverley Road, Hutton Balk, Hutton Road, Hutton Cranswick CP, East Wolds and Coastal Ward (see map).
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
